Saani Quran

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Online Quran classes for kids and adults

Saani Quran Academy teaches the Quran online through private lessons with a dedicated teacher. Begin with the very first letter in Noorani Qaida, or build on what you already know with Quran reading, Tajweed and memorization.

Online Quran courses

Every course is taught one-to-one, so lessons start where the student is today, whether that is learning the Arabic letters for the first time or polishing recitation with Tajweed.

A typical path for a new student

  1. 1

    Noorani Qaida

Letters, sounds and the basics of joined reading.

  2. 2

    Quran Reading

Reading the mushaf fluently, page by page.

  3. 3

    Tajweed

Applying the rules of recitation with care.

  4. 4

    Memorization

Committing surahs, or the whole Quran, to memory.

Noorani Qaida

Young children and complete beginners of any age

The starting point for reading the Quran. Students learn to recognise and pronounce every Arabic letter, then build up to joined letters, short and long vowels, and their first complete words.

  • Arabic letters and their correct sounds
  • Letter shapes at the start, middle and end of a word
  • Harakat, sukoon, shaddah and tanween
  • Reading short words and phrases fluently

Quran Reading (Nazra)

Students who know the letters and want to read the Quran smoothly

Guided reading from the mushaf, page by page, with the teacher listening and correcting as you go. The goal is steady, accurate recitation without stopping to work out each word.

  • Reading directly from the mushaf
  • Correcting common pronunciation mistakes
  • Building reading speed and confidence
  • Proper stopping and starting within verses

Quran with Tajweed

Children and adults who can read and want to recite correctly

Tajweed is taught through recitation, not only theory. Each rule is explained in plain English and then practised in real verses until it becomes natural.

  • Makharij: where each letter is pronounced from
  • Rules of noon sakinah, tanween and meem sakinah
  • Madd (elongation) and qalqalah
  • Rules of stopping (waqf) and starting

Quran Memorization (Hifz)

Students memorising selected surahs, a juz, or the whole Quran

A structured memorisation plan built around new lessons, recent revision and long-term revision, so that what is memorised stays memorised. Plans range from short surahs for salah to full Hifz.

  • Daily new lesson (sabaq) with correct Tajweed
  • Revision of recent lessons (sabqi)
  • Regular revision of earlier portions (manzil)
  • A pace agreed with the student and parents

Quran Translation and Understanding

Teens and adults who want to understand what they recite

Word-by-word and verse meanings in English, starting with the surahs recited most often in daily prayer, so that recitation is connected to understanding.

  • Word-by-word meanings of common surahs
  • Frequently repeated Quranic vocabulary
  • The context and key lessons of each surah
  • Reflecting on the meaning during salah

Islamic Studies

Children and new learners building everyday Islamic knowledge

Age-appropriate lessons on the practical foundations of a Muslim's daily life, taught alongside Quran classes or on their own.

  • Wudu and salah, step by step
  • Everyday duas and their meanings
  • Core beliefs of Islam
  • Stories of the Prophets and Islamic manners

Students who already read well can start at whichever stage fits, and Translation or Islamic Studies can be taken alongside any of them.

Online Quran classes for kids

Children learn the Quran at home with their own teacher, without the travel and fixed hours of an evening madrasa. Most begin with Noorani Qaida and move on to reading the Quran once they can join letters with confidence.

  • Short, focused lessons matched to the child's age and attention span
  • A patient teacher who praises effort and keeps a steady routine
  • Parents are welcome to sit in, and are told what to practise between classes
  • Islamic Studies can be added, covering salah, duas and Islamic manners

  • Start from the Arabic letters if you need to, with no pressure or judgement
  • Correct long-standing pronunciation habits with focused Tajweed practice
  • Learn the meaning of the surahs you recite in salah
  • Schedule classes around work, study and family commitments

How lessons are taught

Learning the Quran is a skill built through listening, reciting and correcting. Our lessons are organised around that, with one teacher giving one student their full attention.

Corrected as you read
The teacher listens to every line and corrects mistakes on the spot, before they become habits that are hard to undo.
Tajweed from the first lesson
Correct pronunciation is part of every stage, from the first letters of Noorani Qaida onwards, not an extra added later.
Revision is built in
Lessons regularly return to earlier work, so reading stays fluent and memorised surahs stay secure.
A clear next step
Each class ends with what to practise before the next one, so students and parents always know what comes next.

Questions about online Quran classes

Answers to what parents and adult learners ask most before they start. If your question is not here, send it to us.

How do online Quran classes work?

Each lesson is a live video class between the student and their teacher. The teacher listens to the student read, corrects mistakes as they happen, and sets the next lesson.

Before regular classes begin, we talk with you about the student's current level and goals and agree on a course, a class length and a weekly schedule.

What do I need to join a class?

A laptop, tablet or phone with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection and a quiet place to sit. Headphones help, especially for younger children. We share the video-call details when classes are arranged.

At what age can my child start learning the Quran online?

Many children are ready to begin Noorani Qaida at around four to five years old, when they can sit and focus for a short lesson. Younger children usually do best with shorter classes and a parent nearby.

If you are unsure whether your child is ready, contact us and we will talk it through with you.

I am an adult and cannot read Arabic. Can I still learn?

Yes. Adult beginners start with Noorani Qaida just like children, but the pace and explanations are adjusted for adult learners. Lessons are private, so you can learn at your own pace without feeling rushed.

Are the classes one-to-one?

Yes. Each class has one student and one teacher, so the whole lesson is spent on that student's reading, questions and progress.

Can I choose class times that suit my time zone?

Class times are agreed with you when you enrol. Tell us your country and the days and times that work for your family, and we will arrange a schedule around them.

How long does it take to learn to read the Quran?

It depends on the student's age, how many classes they take each week and how much they practise between lessons. Some students move from Qaida to reading the mushaf within months; others take longer, and that is fine.

We would rather give you an honest picture of your progress than promise a fixed timeline.

How are parents kept informed about their child's progress?

Parents are welcome to sit in on lessons. The teacher can also share what was covered and what the child should practise before the next class.

How much do the classes cost?

Fees depend on the course, the length of each class and how many classes you take each week. Send us an enquiry and we will share the current fees for the schedule you have in mind.

How do I enrol?

Fill in the enquiry form on this page or message us directly. We will reply to arrange a short conversation about the student's level and goals, then set up the first class.
